- Business Continuity Management awareness (senior management and company-wide), via presentations to board members, management teams, seminars, workshops etc.
- Initial Business Reviews to help clients assess, at a high level, the organisation’s ability to continue critical business functions and services to its customers (internal or external) in the event of severe disruption to normal operations, from any cause.
- Review and development of continuity / recovery strategies, including the review / preparation of policy statements, standards and guidelines and best practice recommendations.
- Business Impact Assessment Reviews to establish the criticality of business functions to the overall business operation and its survival, the dependencies which may exist and the potential impacts (operational and financial) of severe disruption upon company activities.
- Risk Assessment Reviews to identify potential exposures which may threaten critical business processes, and the likelihood of their occurrence.
- IT Management Reviews to help assess the suitability and effectiveness of controls, security and recovery / continuity capabilities within all areas of the IT environment and the service provided to support business operations. Three levels of review are available, from high level Initial IT Review ("Health Check") to full IT assessment. These reviews cover all topics included in current Information Security and Business Continuity Management Standards, and assist in the evaluation of compliance to the standards.
- Review of Information Security Management Systems; support of their development to meet standards and assistance in obtaining certification, where required.
- Project Management to minimise potential exposures identified during a Risk Analysis, Information Security Review or Installation Management Review (e.g. revision of processes or implementation of corrective actions).
- Development of Continuity Plans and Procedures to meet the client’s requirements (full business or departmental, e.g. IT)
- Support of the development / implementation of processes to ensure compliance to Business Continuity Management and Information Security standards / regulatory requirements (full business or departmental, e.g. IT)
- Review and selection of the most suitable disaster recovery service provider(s) to meet the client's needs, using an in-house, proven, decision analysis methodology.
- Support in the selection of suitable business continuity / disaster recovery software solutions to meet the client’s needs.
- Review of existing disaster recovery service plans and contracts to ensure the client's specific needs are recognised and that requirements will be met.
- Supporting recovery / continuity plan testing; assisting the development of test objectives; monitoring test activities and processes; assisting the review of test results and identifying where changes may need to be made.
- Training programmes for in-house personnel assigned to Business Continuity Management activities.
- Support for the development or review of Quality Systems in clients' IT services, operations and systems development environments. (Outline standards and procedures documentation for customisation to the client's requirements is available).
- Presentations at seminars / workshops intended to broaden commercial awareness of Business Continuity Management.
